Table of Contents
The internet is flooded with betting tools and services that claim to offer incredible returns on sports bets with no risk and guaranteed profits. However, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Especially now, with the boom in AI technology, there are many false claims surrounding ChatGPT-based bots and similar tools.
Luckily, among the sea of worthless sports betting tools and services that provide no real value, there are also some high-quality options available. These can genuinely assist bettors in making their betting profitable.
Why should you use Sports Betting Tools?
Why should anyone want to pay for premium sports betting tools? At the end of the day, anyone can sit down, compare the Pinnacle odds to their local bookmakers, and decide what to wager on.
That’s true, but in sports betting, much like in any other thing in life, time is one of the most valuable assets.
You can spend hours looking for arbitrage betting opportunities or the whole morning researching to find one value bet. Or you can pay a monthly or yearly subscription for a service that will do the job for you.
Ultimately, you need to decide whether you prefer to invest your time or your money in finding +EV (positive expected value) betting opportunities.
Types of Betting Tools
There are many types of sports betting tools and services available for people who bet on sports, each focusing on their own thing, which can be valuable to some bettors and less for others. But they generally fall into one of nine main categories:
- Arbitrage Betting Tools
- Matched Betting Tools
- Value Betting Tools
- Odds Comparison Tools
- Research / Backtesting Tools
- Betting Bots
- Betting Exchange Trading Tools & Bots
- Bet Trackers
- Custom Betting Platforms (Sportmarket Pro)
Our Reviews and Recommendations
The sports betting tools you can find on our website have all undergone some testing for us to consider adding them to our table. Besides ensuring they can provide the sports betting service they promise, we also looked at other factors such as reliability, affordability, and the value they offer to the bettors.
You can find all our reviews here.
Below are some of the things we consider when reviewing the betting tools/services;
- Bookmaker coverage (how useful is the service in different geographical regions?)
- Performance/usability on sharp bookmakers / betting exchanges
- Ease of use, design, friendliness (does the service run in browser, is their website design stuck in 2005?)
And as much as we could list hundreds of sports betting tools and soft bookmakers, offer a free account, and collect that sweet affiliate money, this isn’t our primary goal. Instead, we prioritize quality over quantity, focusing on providing bettors with the most useful and reliable tools available.
Best Arbitrage Betting Tools
OddStorm offers both pre-match and in-play arbitrage alerts, but is also quite pricey (155 EUR per month for pre-match and €195 for in-play arbs, soccer only), which makes it impractical for a lot of users.
RebelBetting, BetBurger and Bet Hero are much cheaper, cover way more sports (and esports) and the quality and speed of their scanner is similar.
There are also some cheaper services like BreakingBet and Surebet – BB is missing some bookmakers and while SureBet supports a lot of bookmakers, they lack some of the quality of life features like a bet tracker and their scanner is not the fastest one around.
If you are from the USA or Canada, your best bet is with OddsJam. RB and BB do support most of the US bookmakers, but not as many as OddsJam. The base membership is quite costly if you’re considering it solely for arbing, so make sure to use our promo code “LAY” for 35% off your membership.
Best AI Betting Tools
With the AI market booming, it’s no surprise that many people are exploring how to leverage it to enhance their betting performance.
Unfortunately, most AI software is trained on public data, which is generally inadequate for serious applications. Currently, the only AI-driven betting tool we can recommend is WinnerOdds.
If someone is trying to sell you AI betting software that claims to work with ChatGPT, be cautious. They either lack a proper understanding of sports betting or have other more sinister motives.
Best Value Betting Tools
Hard to go wrong with either choosing RebelBetting, BetBurger, WinnerOdds or Trademate.
For those on a budget, services like BreakingBet and Surebet are a viable choice.
If you are from the USA or Canada, the likes of OddsJam, Trademate US or WinnerOdds Tennis are all great choices, as are the likes of OddsNotifier, PinnacleOddsDropper or ChasingSteamers.
Our personal recommendation is to start with either WinnerOdds (their tennis service) or one of the newer services that work by exploiting Pinnacle odds drops like PinnacleOddsDropper or OddsNotifier.
BetBurger and RebelBetting also offer great trial options, so you might also want to take a look at those.
Best Betting Odds Comparison Tools
The best overall betting odds comparison tool (sports + esports) has to be BetBurger, but it is a paid option and not really cheap if used for odds comparison only. It is also not very mobile-friendly.
BetOnValue is a good alternative, but their design is a mess and they cover fewer sports and betting markets. If you are going to bet on football matches, you can also use OddStorm.
As for the Americans and Canadians, who are looking for things like player props and popular US sports betting markets, OddsJam should be your number one pick.
If your betting strategy is not reliant on getting the fastest odds updates, then it is completely reasonable to use some of the free betting odds comparison sites like OddsPortal or OddsChecker.
Both sites cover the most popular sports like soccer, basketball, tennis and so on. Just make sure you don’t click on the links, as the bookmakers keep an eye on the traffic coming from odds comparison sites.
As for those betting on Australian racing (horses, greyhounds, harness), BetWatch seems like a great option.
Free Sports Betting Tools
If you are working with a very limited betting bank or just looking to spend less / test before you buy, you can try some of the tools listed below.
SureBet
Free value bets, incredibly cheap arbitrage betting and middles service. Their service is steadily improving as they add new features and betting sites regularly; you can check out their blog for all the updates they are doing to their system!
SureBet also offers an XML API (with a free trial) and has a browser extension.
If you are on a budget, this is the sports betting tool to check out, but keep in mind that there will be some false arbs/value bets as their scanner only scans bookmakers every five minutes (or sometimes even longer), so make sure to double-check every bet you place.
The amount of bookmakers this service cover is amazing. Sadly the five-minute scraping time is not really suitable to use this as your main betting tool.
Don’t get me wrong, some people can make it work on certain bookmakers, but in my opinion, if you are already using something like WinnerOdds or OddsNotifier, this is a great supplementary service, as it covers bookmakers like bookmaker.eu (apparently they are one of the more annoying bookmakers to scrape) that almost no other betting tools does.
As an example, you would get in-play value bets from Betburger or Trademate and try to find pre-match value on sites like bookmaker.eu with Surebet.
Free Trials / Money Back Guarantees
Most of the betting tools offer some sort of a free trial or a money-back guarantee.
- RebelBetting: 14 Day Free Trial + Profit Guarantee!
- BetBurger: Free Forever, but limited and delayed service; arbitrage alerts limited to 1% and value bets to 2%!
- SmartBettingClub: Four free expert betting reports!
- StatisticSports: 7 Day Free Trial + 5% off if you sign up with our link!
- Predictology: Easy to get started as they offer their first month for only £1!
Make sure to check the exclusive discounts section in the table above to find the active deals.
Which betting tool is the best?
There isn’t a sports betting tool that will suit every bettor; for example, if you want to focus on NBA player props, I would recommend you to go with the OddsNotifiers NBA props service.
For those who prefer betting on tennis, the best service to help you win is WinnerOdds.
Want to bet on darts? Go with either BiC Darts picks or OnTheOche (SBC verified).
For bettors looking to exploit bookmaker promotions involving parlay bets, I suggest using OddsMonkey or ProfitDuel (US version of OddsMonkey).
And so on – there isn’t really a single betting service that would cover all aspect of betting. If you are from the USA or Canada, OddsJam might come close to that with great US bookmaker coverage and a service that features both value and arbitrage alerts along with some basic matched betting tools, but it is not the perfect service.
FAQ
Can you use value betting tools on sharps or betting exchanges?
Yes, it is possible to use value betting tools on sharp bookmakers and betting exchanges, but it is way harder compared to value betting on soft betting sites. According to the RebelBetting owner (see image below), people are making money on sharps using RebelBetting Pro, so it is definitely possible!
Avoid using Pinnacle, as their betting odds are simply too sharp, and start with either Smarkets or Betfair. You can also use Sportmarket, PremiumTradings, or any other betting broker to open a Betfair clone. I would also suggest some sort of automation as you have to be really quick to get the money down before the odds change.
It also helps if you know which bookmaker is the market leader in their respective sport, so you can use them as benchmark; Pinnacle for soccer, Circa for college sports, Veikauss for Finnish sports (local bookmakers MIGHT have better insight into their local sports scene), Heritage for motor racing, Betcris for golf and so on.
This type of betting is definitely not for a total beginner! Yes, you with the PRO version you get access to betting brokers, but placing the bets before the odds change is not an easy job. You can read more in about RebelBetting review.
There is also Trademate Pro, with the main focus of their service being beating sharp bookmakers. The main drawback is that it is quite expansive and that you need at least ∼10000 EUR in starting bankroll.
In short, this is not something that is recommend for a total beginner – you should only take on the sharps once you have enough experience or you have lost all of your soft bookmaker accounts.
If you are looking for something with less bets per day, you can also check out DartsH2H service, which works exclusively via a Telegram channel.
Another service that analyses other betting tools, tipsters and services eligibility to use on sharps/betting exchanges is SmartBettingClub.
Is there a ChatGPT betting bot that can help me make money?
No. There are some that claim they have a bot that will make you money, claiming they use a combination of public and “private” data, highly advanced stuff, 70% win rate and other buzzwords. Most AI services are using databases that are filled with public data and most public data is garbage. I also recommend you watch this video.
Suggestion; be highly sceptical of anything that is labelled AI in sports betting, as it has just become another buzzword, just like web3, blockchain, big data and so on. The only AI product I can genuinely recommend at the moment is WinnerOdds.
Which betting tipsters or handicappers are the best?
Be very careful with those – most of them are sham. Also, this article (by Fussbalexperte) and this article (or the book; How to Find a Black Cat in a Coal Cellar, by Joseph Buchdahl) are a must read. On the second note, pretty much all of the books from Joseph Buchdahl are worth a read;
– Squares and Sharps, Suckers and Sharks: The Science, Psychology & Philosophy of Gambling
– Monte Carlo or Bust: Simple Simulations for Aspiring Sports Bettors
– Fixed Odds Sports Betting: Statistical Forecasting and Risk Management
Suggestion; avoid all the Tipstrr stuff. Some less credible sites are even writing articles on stuff like the “best tipsters on Tipstrr” and those sites are to be avoided, as they have no clue about sports betting! I am not saying that you won’t find a single good betting tipster, but at least find someone who is verified by SmartBettingClub.
